Hisense HS214  2.1ch Soundbar with Built-in Subwoofer, 108W, All-in-one Compact Design with Wireless Bluetooth, Powered by Dolby digital Audio, HDMI ARC / Optical digital Audio input /AUX/ USB Port, 3EQ Modes

Hisense HS214 is a compact and affordable soundbar that comes in under the $200 price range. The product dimensions are 25.6 x 3.7 x 2.3 inches, and the weight of 6.42 pounds.

Hisense HS214 is an excellent no-frills wireless soundbar that offers excellent audio performance at the budget price range. It comes with dual built-in subwoofers. Hence it produces a very impressively low-end bass response compared to other similar best soundbars.

Main Structure

Hisense has done a great job in the design language of this soundbar; they have well placed all the components along with a subwoofer inside a compact body. If we talk about looks,  this soundbar is flat and looks hefty at first glance.

It comes with a remote controller that has backlit keys and buttons. It’s quite convenient to use the remote during nighttime since you can easily navigate through the buttons. There are holes on each side of the soundbar for subwoofers to throw the base out of them. The matt soft-touch material used on the top surface of the soundbar is perfect for touching and feeling.

Connectivity

Connectivity is the main thing to take care of, and we can not ignore it. There are options like HDMI inputs, USB media, or Bluetooth to connect our soundbar with TV or any other device.

To get full-bodied Audio, it is recommended to use a Bluetooth module to connect to your audio source. The company has invested a ton of time in calibrating Bluetooth modules for better connection and longer range. A built-in subwoofer is directly connected to the mainboard of the soundbar resulting in a quick response from woofers.

Sound Quality

This 2.1 high-end sound system will fill your room with vibrant audio quality equivalent to that of a more expensive 5.1 surround sound system; the deep bass and crystal-clear highs will immerse you in your favourite music playback, movies, and games.

One of the features that makes it one of our best soundbars with a built-in subwoofer is the Bluetooth connectivity for wireless streaming from smartphones, tablets, or other compatible devices. Two 5 watt stereo rear speakers can be mounted on the wall for an even more dramatic effect than a single soundbar.

This is definitely an excellent soundbar with built-in dual subwoofers that will provide you with a theatre-like experience in your house. It comes at a very affordable price and offers great value for money! Overall, this 2.1 channel soundbar is an excellent choice for anyone looking to get a fantastic surround-like audio experience without spending more money!

You can do multiple audio enhancements on this thing very easily, just with a button click. Sound performance is outstanding when you are wirelessly streaming with your phone or any other device. I have been testing this thing since the start of this year, and it took me a long to finalize the best winner for my list.

Pros
Cons

Verdict

This thing is a perfect solution for you if you are looking for something that can be used without subwoofers. The sound is very clear, and the bass is loud enough to fill your room. If I say this thing is a small stone and big sound, it will be just with this soundbar. On top of that price at which this soundbar is available in the market is very reasonable, everyone can buy it.

  • Recommended Uses For Product: For Surround Sound Systems, For Televisions, For Computers, For Smartphones or Tablets
  • Is Waterproof: FALSE

This Chinese brand is giving the perfect bang for your buck, with 120 watts strong output, Multiple connections and a built-in subwoofer. This thing is still offered at a very low price. With such features and incredible immersive sound experience, I was not able to resist adding this to my list of the best soundbar with a built-in subwoofer.

Main Structure

This soundbar, by a majority, has a different design sense to it; it’s not like traditional soundbars; instead of being flat, it is curved and looks more like the bar inside a car. The design is pretty simple, but that’s not all that matters. It’s what’s inside this soundbar that makes it great!

The whole thing is very well made, from buttons to feet; everything has some weight to it, with a purpose. Along with that, everything is well placed, and the company has put some serious effort into figuring out the usability of every button along with the position of that specific button. If you are looking for a surround speakers system with booming bass, this one may impress you.

Connectivity

When it comes to connectivity, the Majority has provided you will see almost all the possible options available in the market at the moment. The Bluetooth connectivity allows you to stream music from your devices at will, and I must say the excellent sound quality through Bluetooth is pretty good.

Plus, it also has a 3.5mm aux input port in case you want to use your old wired headphones. You can easily connect this thing with your TV by using a simple HDMI cable. It’s much better to connect this way as the TV will do all the work for you in case of settings and compatibility.

The multi-connection feature of this soundbar also allows you to connect it with the Majority of the brands out there, just in case if you are having any issues connecting it with your TV or laptop. In addition to that Majority also provides a 1-year warranty on this soundbar!

Compatibility of this thing with phones and PC is another major factor for its success, as most of the best soundbars out there lack this capability. This thing even provides some support for apple products, just in case if you have an iPhone or Macbook and want to hook it with this soundbar!

The remote control is pretty decent, and it’s not like a plastic toy but a well built one. It’s very easy to use and serves its purpose well. Not much to talk about the cons, but one thing worth mentioning is there are no EQ settings through which you can boost that bass or treble; not that many people care about this thing as they would just use their TV’s own audio features for any such changes.

Sound Quality

With 120 watts total output power, this thing can produce some immensely powerful sound. 120 watts is just too much for a soundbar, which is why we consider this thing as the best soundbar of the year regarding that spec.

The excellent sound quality of this thing is pretty good, considering its price and design choice majority has done an impressive job! It also comes with dual passive radiator subwoofers inbuilt, which gives you some extra thump in the bass, however considering its price, this is entirely acceptable.

Besides that Majority has also done a great job in making sure there were no distortion or loss of sound quality at any volume level! If you are going for surround sound, then this thing may not be for you. However, if you are fine with the same quality of sound at places where you generally enjoy music, then Majority is a perfect fit for you.

Sound experience

The overall excellent sound quality of the Majority is pretty good and bounce sound , and different channels are kept separated properly so that each channel gets its own space. Even without the Dolby digital surround setting, the Majority of the sound is pretty impressive.

The overall experience of this thing is great if we are up to something room-filling. This smart soundbar has a lot to offer, and if you are looking for good immersive sound with booming and deep bass, then this one is good for you! There is no option to attach separate subwoofers, which may seem to be a crucial downside for some people. But trust me, this soundbar packs some serious bass! This soundbar improve sound quality of then your tv’s internal spekers.

Pros
Cons

Verdict

Finally, I would say we usually don’t like buying stuff from Chinese brands as we think they might be of low quality, but that is not the case in this scenario. The Majority has invested a ton of money and effort in the production of this thing,  and they are really very close to the expectations of their customers, something which even big brands have trouble with.

A majority is definitely a brand worth looking at if you need some excellent affordable soundbar in the affordable range. However, I would like to mention that as per my use and experience Majority lacks the surround sound option completely, so if you are using this as a surround sound speaker, then be aware of it.

TCL has made a good name in the TV and Video industry, and the same is the case with audios. They just know how to make a soundbar sound good. They are very keen on details, focusing on each and every factor to make sure the product is a perfect winner. This TCL soundbar is packed with features of a high-end soundbar for the price of a nice dinner. Enough base, now let’s get straight into this soundbar and find out more about it.

Main Structure

There are usually more curves than angles in TCL products, and What I noted, the same is the case with this soundbar. You get a nice round, curvy bar with an excellent LED display. This thing comes with a whooping power of 260 watts, so it’s necessary for the body to be good enough to handle the bass response coming from the built-in subwoofer.

And yes, it does a great job; we have been playing music with bass boosted trance on this soundbar for straight 3 hours, and nothing happened. It got nice feet to sit on your table, and there are mounting options available to you in case you are a fan of mounting your best soundbars with the wall.

Connectivity

Pairing Bluetooth with this thing was super easy, and it just connected automatically when I put my mobile on Bluetooth. There are 2 inputs available at the back of the soundbar, one is for your TV, and another is for Aux connection with a wide range of ports including HDMI ARC, Optical Audio In, and 3.5mm Jack to RCA cable if you feel like its necessary, it shouldn’t be as this thing has Bluetooth.

You can use the multiple-input feature of this Dolby Atmos soundbar by connecting your PC and Phone simultaneously.

Sound Quality

Here comes the actual part, sound quality; this soundbar is the same as The Majority of TCL products. They have a clear idea about what their customers want and how to deliver just that. The overall sound quality on this thing is near perfection. The treble and mids are as clear as ever, with no sort of distortions or issues at all.

Again, the brass section is pretty mighty as well. A little bit of base can be too much for a lot of people. To get the full effect, you need to add an extra subwoofer or two, but TCL has smartly put mid, and high-frequency drivers inbuilt so you don’t lose out on any sound quality if you offset them with extra woofers.

The good part about this soundbar is, you don’t need to play your built in speakers at the maximum volume level. TCL has used Dolby Atmos technology in this soundbar, and that is the reason the bass is not overpowering. This thing even goes up to 11 band eq settings to deliver better sound output.

Overall, It’s pretty much a fantastic product by TCL, totally worth buying it. If you want to have complete control of your sound systems, then this should be your first choice. You get a mic in the front of the soundbar for voice remote commands and overall good quality

Sound Modes

My favourite part about this soundbar is the variety of modes available to tweak your music; there are unique modes for movies, action, games etc., you can choose any mode, depending on what you feel like listening to at that moment.

Using these sound modes is very easy. It has a remote control to use with it. You can simply click a button, and with a snap of a button, you can change the sound mode right from the comfort of your bed.

Pros
Cons

Verdict

TCL Alto Series 8i makes every product that comes out of it a full bang for the buck. The design is outstanding and minimalistic, and all the functions are right at the front, so you don’t have to struggle with remotes all the time. The most impressive feature of this soundbar is the bass response that comes from the built-in subwoofers.

This Dolby Atmos soundbar is also capable of producing a high base, and you just need to get an extra woofer if you want a lot more mid and high range on your music as well. Plus point for this product is its connectivity section, and there is a lot more available at the back of this thing.

This Dolby Atmos soundbar has all the features of a high-end product, packed at a pretty good price as well, and I will wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who wants a great sounding music and movie experience with an affordable budget.

Its Yamaha once again, This is a thick, hefty looking soundbar from Yamaha, with a lot of features that are very useful. The best part about this soundbar is you can use it for movies and music, or just regular TV shows. You can customize settings in whatever way you want them to fit your specific needs. Marketed as a compact soundbar with a subwoofer, I would agree with the statement, but it also depends on your liking.

Main Structure

The best thing about this is the way it looks, and I think that’s where you can easily tell that what’s inside of this thing is very capable and made with a lot of experience. This Yamaha yas soundbar is made at an upward-facing angle. So as you can see from pictures, this device radiates sound and bass towards celling.

The material used in the production of this thing is plastic and some kind of alloy. Giving it a solid base for remain steady on high sound. You can easily install it on your TV stand without having to drill any holes. I also feel that this is not needed as this soundbar is already heavy enough. This device has the entire package, remote, battery, manual and all other information guides you may need.

Connectivity

There were no issues while connecting this thing to my TV and phone via Bluetooth, so that I would consider it pretty much a plug-n-play device with very useful features in it.

This is where this thing shines; it has a lot more options and ports that help you connect with things in your home theatre. One of the good features of this soundbar is its Bluetooth, and you can connect up to 3 devices simultaneously with it.

Another good feature is the remote control which has a lot of options to customize your settings and modes. The remote works flawlessly as long as you are pointing in the direction of the soundbar, just like every other remote out there. There were no issues with connectivity or setup process on any device I connected to it.

Sound Quality

I really like how it sounded when I connected my phone. The sound was crisp and clear but what surprised me was the bass response. It felt like I was listening to a subwoofer all this time, despite the fact that it just has one integrated into it.

WIth play out loud technology,  you can play the soundbar at really high volumes without any kind of distortion. You can play games right on your PC and feel yourself experiencing the game in reality.

The sound modes are pretty useful and something you would want to use if you are listening for a particular mood with just a single button click.

I will recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a complete music experience, an excellent subwoofer and good quality sound. The design is really lovely as well, and I think that’s one of the first things you would notice about this product before getting into further details about it.

Pros
Cons

Verdict

Before concluding this, II would really like to add one point in it, never expect something that you are not purchasing. I know all of these best soundbars do have in built subwoofers, and surely they produce some really nice deep bass and different sound formats.

BUT. A BIG BUT!

An inbuilt subwoofer can not be compared to an external 8 or 10-inch subwoofer. There is a difference. If you can find that missing bass from anywhere else, please let me know :p.

I will rate this 5 out of 5.

This is my personal rating, and I hope you also like the article. Please leave a comment below if you have any questions about this product so that we can get back to you as soon as possible. Have a nice day!

It would be unjust if we talk about best soundbars and don’t take Yamaha products into account.

Yamaha is famous for its quality home audio products, and Yamaha soundbars are no different.

Main Structure

The SR-B20A is an excellent choice for those who want to create an exciting and fun atmosphere with multiple sound effects for every movie, game or video they watch.

Also, the addition of beautiful and elegant design makes it an excellent choice for those who want their TV room to look sophisticated!

The material used in the production of this soundbar is of outstanding quality. We can feel the thickness and material quality just by touching the soundbar.

The thick aluminium bars give the speaker a solid, stable and durable structure.

It has got two built-in woofers at the front of the speaker and serves as external up firing speakers to enhance an audio quality experience for your TV speakers or other home theatre devices.

While you might think that this soundbar is too large for your room layout, it really isn’t, and its dimension is 38 x 7 x 5.2 inches.

The control panel of this soundbar is located on the front side, and it consists of controls like power, volume buttons etc.

The sound is pretty impressive for a small soundbar. The bar, of course, lacks in the bass, but if you want to add it to your experience, just connect the rear speakers or another subwoofer and get the thump as much as you want from this piece!

Connectivity

The setup is pretty easy and done within minutes, so you don’t have to worry about how to connect it!

To get the most out of it, you need to connect your TV and other devices to the bar using the HDMI cable or RCA ports.

But what if you want to play music from your Bluetooth-enabled devices?

No problem, this soundbar has Bluetooth, so you can connect using your phone and make all the fun lasts as long as possible!

This system has only one HDMI output port that will allow an upscaling to 5.1 and Bluetooth connectivity.

Bluetooth streaming in this soundbar allows you to switch effortlessly between your favourite tunes and television sound with a single tap.

It is also equipped with a TV input, an RCA connection via optical cable port, and HDMI inputs for your devices so that the connection won’t be a big problem at all!

If you want the best sound from this small speaker system, just connect it with other rear speakers and make the whole experience even better!

Sound Quality

Sound quality is all that matter to most people, so we have to take a keen look at it. When we start testing any soundbar, we perform most of the tests on sound quality.

The same we did with this Yamaha yas soundbar, and with no surprise, this thing got more than 8/10 in multiple tests.

Deep Bass, treble, voice, soundstage and surround all are pretty impressive for a small speaker of this size.

The treble is crisp and clear, while the bass is good enough even without an external subwoofer attached to it.

So it clearly beats out many other speakers in its price range, but when you use any external woofer or subwoofer, the experience will be out of the world.

Soundstage and Surround

While testing a soundbar, we always perform most of our tests on these two parameters, so we make sure that there is no compromise in either of them while choosing one. When it comes to Yamaha yas soundbars, you don’t have to worry about surround and soundstage, as this thing has proven itself to be one of the best in these two parameters.

The soundstage is very open and balanced, while surround mode can be turned on or off according to the requirement.

When it comes to voice quality, this soundbar excels; voices are not overpowered by deep bass or treble, so you can hear them clearly even at maximum volume, which is very rare to find in this price range.

Enhanced dialogue technology enable this soundbar to produce crisp audio, clear dialogues, so you will never miss out on anything!

This is the best soundbar with built-in subwoofers that will help you make the TV speakers watching experience even better than before!

On top of all other stuff, DTS Virtual:X sound technology allows you to get surround sound even though you are using just one speaker.

Pros
Cons

Verdict

This compact soundbar has a lot to offer; with in built subwoofers and the option to attach a separate subwoofer, you can expect much from this soundbar. This thing have  excellent quality sound ,  and deep bass with crystal clear sound!

The sound quality, surround sound, and voice is all great. On top of that, you can connect multiple devices to make it even better!

So, in a nutshell, this one is among the best soundbars for its price range; if you are looking for an upgrade, then you should consider buying this soundbar as it offers a lot more features than many of the other brands.

The sound quality is excellent of this smart soundbar, and surround sound with voice are all very clear. On top of that, you get an option to attach separate subwoofers!

Along with that, you got covered by an amazon replacement and refund policy.
